Hampshire's Neil Raymond completed a magnificent week at the European Amateur Team Championships, helping England win the prestigious title.
The Corhampton star teamed up with Garrick Porteous to win 4&2 against James Ross and Ewan Scott in the opening foursomes match of the final, against Scotland.
The result represented the perfect start for England, who went on to prevail 4.5-2.5 at Silkeborg Ry Golf Club, in Denmark.
Raymond ended the tournament undefeated during the match play rounds, while he was the country's top performer during the stroke play qualifying stage.
The 27-year-old will find out next month if he has earned a spot in the Great Britain & Ireland Walker Cup squad, with his place looking increasingly certain.
