Hampshire’s Justin Rose has left himself a mountain to climb in his bid for a first US Masters title.
The US Open champion is tied for 67th after shooting a first round 76 (+4).
Rose at least rallied from being six over par after 12, a hole where he was one of many players to find water off the tee on the 155-yard par three, with birdies on the 13th and 15th.
The 33-year-old will hope to continue that momentum into today’s second round.
