Richard Bland kept his hopes of reaching the DP World Tour Championship alive with a decent week at the BMW Masters.
The Stoneham ace finished on three-under-par to earn a share of 39th place in the first event of the European Tour’s Final Series, which only the top-performing players during the season qualify for.
Bland pocketed €61,625 in prize money after his efforts at Lake Malaren Golf Club, in Shanghai, China, taking his winnings for the year to €458,492.
That puts him 65th in the order of merit, with one event left to force his way into a top-60 position that would ensure a place in the season-ending DP World Tour Championship, in Dubai.
Bland is just over €40,000 shy of that mark at the moment, but will have an opportunity to bridge that gap at the Turkish Airlines Open later this month.
