At the close of what has been a hectic and extraordinarily successful race season, Janet Grosvenor, who has been Racing Manager and the 'face' of the Royal Ocean Racing Club for more years than she wishes to mention, has decided to step down from the role in early 2008. Jan will however continue to work with the Club in a different capacity as a consultant on specific events such as the Rolex Commodores' Cup 2008 and RORC is naturally delighted to take up her offer.
Commodore of the Royal Ocean Racing Club, David Aisher, commented: "Jan is leaving the job with an irreplaceable legacy of offshore racing run at the highest possible level. The hunt for her successor - no easy task in anyone's eyes - will now commence and we would be delighted to hear from anyone interested in this challenging role".
