HAMPSHIRE’s round the world sailor Dee Caffari can add another accolade to her long list of achievements.
Dee, pictured, who is from Titchfield, has been honoured by her home borough of Fareham.
The mayor, Councillor Ernest Crouch presented her with the Citizens of Honour Special Achievement Badge and certificate.
It was a civic salute for being the first woman to sail solo around the world in both directions.
The accolade comes as Dee announced another world record bid by teaming up with Sam Davies in an attempt to smash the record for sailing round Britain and Ireland.
The pair will be joined by an all-girl crew for their assault on the 2,500-mile record.
