OLYMPIC star Paul Goodison stormed to gold in the latest round of World Cup sailing, leading Britain’s sailors to overall victory.
It is the second win in a row for the former Solent University student, pictured, who also took gold at the French Olympic Sailing Week in Hyeres following an eight month break after winning gold at the Beijing Games.
Goodison took the top spot in the Laser class while teammate Ed Wright picked up gold in the Finn class and the women’s match racing team of Lucy Macgregor, Annie Lush and Ali Martin also came in first.
He said: “It’s a good feeling that I am sailing well after the break after the Olympics. The real focus now is going to be on the Worlds.”
