HAMPSHIRE sailing star Ben Ainslie is to lead the British America’s Cup team into battle in March.
Triple gold medallist Ainslie, pictured, from Lymington, will skipper Team Origin at the latest Louis Vuitton Trophy match race regatta in Auckland, New Zealand.
Eight teams have been confirmed for the regatta which will run from March 9 to 21.
Meanwhile, the 33rd America’s Cup Deed of Gift match is finally due to start in Valencia on Monday between Swiss defenders Alinghi and US challengers BMW Oracle Racing.
