ISLE of Wight offshore yachtsman Jules Salter, right, has signed with the Abu Dhabi Ocean Racing Team for the next edition of the Volvo Ocean Race.
Salter, who won the last edition of the Volvo Ocean Race as a navigator with Ericsson, will team up with Southampton skipper Ian Walker for the round the world race.
Forty-two-year-old father-of-two Salter is one of the most experienced navigators on the professional circuit.
The Volvo Ocean Race starts in Alicante, Spain, in October.
