AFTER reading the Daily Echo headline of January 3 “£400,000 bus cuts”, I see that the authority is planning to reduce the subsidy to maintain services.
Did they put the plan into action on New Year’s Day? No buses in the city yet 30,000 people at St Mary’s.
The local authority ensured that the football club had to reinstate the subsidy for public transport to and from games. Why then did the local authority not insist that there was public transport actually running for the game?
