I WOULD like to say “thank you” to the Royal Mail. I ordered a book by telephone at an address in Berkshire on January 2. To my surprise it was on the doorstep the next day, January 3, before lunch.

What made it more remarkable was that the only part of the address which was correct was the number of the house, my surname and the first part of the post code. Someone went to a lot of trouble to make sure I received the parcel.

MRS EILEEN CAPPEMAN, Southampton.
