THE Daily Echo is right (Echo Comment, January 17): it is the customers who are responsible, along with high prices, for putting people who work in retail at risk every time you sit at home in front of your PC or order items from your mobile.
Also, I partially blame companies for pricing themselves out of the market, whether it be food, clothes or electrical goods. Transport companies are also guilty.
You big bosses need to stop being so greedy, and can no longer expect the public to pay for your extravagant lifestyles. You need to stop punishing us for the mistakes you and the bankers made and expect us to pay for your huge bonuses. Come into the real world and put your prices down.
And you, the customers, get off your posteriors and help keep the retailers you have in business.
The motto is use them or lose them.
