SO I hear David Cameron tell us all ‘Euro Sceptics’ are mad.
Every government since 1972 has blatantly refused to conduct a cost benefit analysis into our EU membership, on the grounds of expense and that the benefits are self-evident.
UKIP have published five such analyses. The last was for the year 2011, and was done by former government “wiseman” Professor Langdon CBE, who concluded that the UK cost was approx £500 per household.
His report concludes: “Thousands of small businesses, which keep this country going, no longer exist as they cannot meet the costs of complying with EU regulations.
“The economies of Western Europe have stagnated, with little growth, as a direct result.”
