MAY I through the pages of your newspaper advise the residents of West End who shop at Asda to diligently check the telephone number printed on their till roll before telephoning the store.
Since the store opened last year my wife and I have been inundated with complaint calls from disgruntled shoppers. It appears that our private number is one digit different to Asda’s and although I have sent numerous letters to Asda head office their couldn’t care less attitude is not helping their customers or my patience.
The majority of calls are from elderly customers and although I can redirect calls when home, calls left on the answer machine must leave these customers feeling let down by Asda.
Some customers leave two or three messages, getting angrier each time.
Please check that till roll.
