AFTER reading your article about the problems uncovered at Glen Lee care home in Bitterne, it is reassuring to know that the Care Quality Commission have the powers to enforce good working practices.
There can be no excuses when it comes to dealing with medication and personal hygiene, so let us hope that the changes being put in place now work efficiently.
I have no doubt that the carers do a fine job. It is nice to know that the inspectors can call at anytime, without warning, so this should keep the staff on their toes.
