MIA Costello most likely highly qualified but she sure lacks commonsense! Did she really believe that such an emotive e-mail to all staff' would not be leaked to the press.
They have dispensed with some household' names, particularly Peter White whose Saturday programme was excellent and he always had good banter with Dennis Skillicorn.
They should be changing content not people, eg. The Mon-Friday Breakfast Programme is descending into house chatter. When a large percentage of listeners are sitting in traffic queues across the area.
Sally Taylor is second best to Fred & Debbie and she will be second best to Peter White.
I suggest BBC Solent find a copy of Compass Magazine (Nov 2006) and read article by John Davidson.
