I am a pensioner who attends the Salvation Army luncheon Club that Major Hughes is responsible for every Tuesday.
I know Major Hughes and her devoted dog Lunar very well and we live on the same estate in Boyatt Wood.
I often meet Major Alexandra Hughes when she is exercising her dog on the field near Shakespeare Road and the estate near the shops. We walk together sometimes with her lovely dog, the dog runs around under control and is as happy as a sand boy and thoroughly enjoying herself.
I am 86 and have had eight dogs over the years and I can state that Lunar is much loved, healthy and thoroughly devoted to her owner.I cannot understand the Labrador Lifeline Trust's action to remove her. They have nade a big mistake in this case.
yours faithfully Alfred E Preecy, Eastleigh
