I have noticed the articles in your paper regarding Major Alexandra Hughes and her labrador dog Lunar and the accusations by one volunteer member of the Labrador Lifeline who says that Alexandra has admitted herself to leaving Lunar in a car in the hot weather. Nonesense! Alexandra did not make this statement and does not leave Lunar in the car in hot weather.
Major Hughes and Lunar visited me at my house during the middle of summer in the hot weather and Lunar was not left in the car, she came into my house with Major Hughes and settled down nicely with a bowl of water. I was very fond of Lunar and I am sorry not to see her now.
I am 85 years old and live alone and Lunar cheers me up. I hope Lunar will be back soon with us all.
