I AM amazed at the numerous letters sent to the Daily Echo’s Your Views column relating to bus service cuts.
I first read about the proposals by First buses to cut services around January/ February 2013 and wrote to the Echo expressing concerns for people who would, importantly, be unable to get to and from work and, potentially, lose their jobs as a consequence.
In view of the length of time which has elapsed during which this matter has been rumbling on, why has it taken the public so long to complain?
The Echo has certainly given this matter a great deal of publicity, enough to give the public at large an opportunity to have their say.
No point in locking the stable door after the horse has bolted.
