I WOULD like to express my distaste about the condition of Southampton cemeteries and the state of disrepair they are falling into, such as no grass being cut since the heavy weather.
These places should be held in the same high regard as any city flower garden.
I am disgusted by some of the photographs that have been brought to my attention by people with loved ones in Hollybrook.
It’s high time the city got its shears out and started to respect the city’s dead that are buried there. They were quick enough to remove loved ones’ mementos so let’s see how fast they can get their act together and cut the grass.
ROBERT PAINTON, Southampton.
