I WHOLEHEARTEDLY agree with your correspondent Alex Haimes, about the issue of speeding on New Forest roads.
I travel frequently between Beaulieu and Lymington and almost without fail am overtaken by speeding motorists, and YES I am the person who flashes my lights and hoots at you as you go speeding by.
I think it is about time that the Park Authority, NFDC, Forestry Commission and Commoners take a serious look at the situation.
Perhaps the occasional visit of the speed camera van might help, if it is not possible to have a fixed camera.
A nil death toll for a month would be wonderful, so please motorists, take care, don’t speed, and look after the wonderful wildlife that we have to enjoy.
