IN response to the letter by Mr Michael Clements, June 6, regarding the closure of Gibbs Home Electronics in Southampton.
Thank you for a very kind gesture in writing to the Daily Echo. Your letter brought a tear to my eye.
I am pleased to say that all my staff have found alternative positions, which is great because they really have tried hard to provide good, intelligent support for our customers and they deserve to find good jobs.
I have set up a range of support facilities for our customers and when we close, our telephone number has been taken over for a year by a support and service company I have known for many years.
They will be able to help all our customers, even if it is only in re-directing the need to a more appropriate support organisation.
