I NOTE the article regarding the Afghan man wishing to see his child and wife. I see that Alan Whitelaw and John Durham are giving their support.
I wrote to both of them asking for help for my son-in-law’s mother and sister to visit this country for up to five weeks to see their new baby, as obviously it is unsafe in that part of the world.
We received practically the same letter from them saying, basically, ‘tough, there’s not much we can do’.
So, as my son-in-law is from Afghanistan, I would not hold my breath for any help soon from my MPs.
