A STUDY of the new bus schedules for the Lordshill/Lordswood area points out that no longer will a bus go down Lordswood Road.
Has the authority considered the pensioners of Lordswood will have to stagger up two hills to get the necessities of life? One supermarket is at Lordwood and the Post office is in Winchester Road. As for getting to the doctors, one is in Hill Lane and the other in Shirley.
In an emergency one could call a very expensive taxi, and how many pensioners could afford that long term?
Could our MP Mr Whitehouse take up the baton and speak for us? Perhaps as we have a lack of amenities he could get the community tax lowered. I am writing this from the forgotten village of Lordswood.
