ONCE again we have had a near-miss at the Ogle Road/Portland Terrace mini-roundabout in Southampton, caused by drivers totally ignoring the fact that the roundabout exists and failing to slow down and give way to a vehicle that has exited Ogle Road and is negotiating the miniroundabout.
All drivers should be reminded that they should approach a mini-roundabout at a speed at which they are able to stop and give way and not assume that as they are on the main road, in this instance Portland Terrace, they have right of way over vehicles exiting from what appears to be a side road.
Perhaps road signage on Portland Terrace should be improved.
