SOUTHAMPTON City Council, you don’t care about the dead, the living, the pensioners, the disabled, the youths and the kids in Southampton.
You waste thousands of pounds of our council tax money on insignificant projects in our city.
Do with our council tax money what you are paid to do: n Keep the cemeteries maintained in the proper way instead of leaving them looking like battlefields.
• Repair the potholes on roads and pavements (do a proper job) instead of leaving them looking like patchwork quilts.
• Trim all hedges overhanging pavements and roads; free up the streets of litter; give us proper receptacles to put household waste and other rubbish in and provide us with proper litter bins in all streets.
• More dropped kerbs for disabled people who depend on wheelchairs and mobility scooters.
• Somewhere for the youth of today to congregate instead of roaming the streets, and more secure play areas for younger children. There is enough space in this city to accommodate the youths and younger children.
• A decent public transport service.
• Stop using our money to claim for expenses and giving yourselves pay rises you don’t earn.
