IT’S 9.05pm and most people are sat in front of the television or just relaxing after a very hot day when there’s a bang on the front door.
So you open the door to yet another charity asking for money.
What time of the day do they stop?
I have two notices on my door to tell these people that I don’t need or want charity bags, leaflets etc and every possible thing that one can get legally mugged for.
I was then told “oh, we don’t take any notice of things like that,”
when I pointed it out to them.
“Oh they don’t apply to us, we’re not selling anything.”
It has gone dopey. You get at least ten to 14 adverts on the television channels and it is getting a joke.
At a rough guess it will cost me between £30 and £40 a week if I chucked into or set up direct debits.
OAPs on a state pension cannot afford it. When is it going to stop?
