HOW I agree with Jane Crowe about limiting plastic bags. As an avid recycling person I too always say no to plastic bags. For one thing you end up with so many on a shopping trip and another fear of losing one when putting them all down.
I don't know what people do with them I limit mine and use them in the waste bin but still have many more than you want. They all look at me in the supermarket, probably as a sad person, when I take in my old bags to fill again with more shopping.
I too have been to Ireland where you have to recycle bags and boxes. What a good idea, even a 1p each bag will put a few people off. Charity shops take them too.
