AS A Radio Solent listener and falling into the 50 something age group I feel Solent is getting it all wrong. I enjoyed listening to Peter White, and still Julian Clegg with is current issues in the morning.

You used to enjoy the gardening programme when it was just an hour, but three hours is far too long, only to be repeated on Sunday. The same programme twice in one weekend?

The records seem to be stuck in a time warp, the same old ones being recycled. If I wanted to listen to music there are plenty of other stations, so a mix is quite good.

As I've got older I enjoy the more informative programmes so find I'm going over to Radio 4 or 2. Michael Parkinson is very good on a Sunday morning, interviewing his guests and he's no spring chicken! I find the older presenters far more interesting.
