I READ in the Daily Echo, July 23, that Eastleigh Borough Council is hoping to freeze the council tax for a further two years completing five years of zero increase.
I would like to ask your readers, who live in the relevant area, if any of them have had a zero increase.
In some areas, such as Hedge End, there was a 1.9 per cent increase last year but, according to officers at Eastleigh Borough Council, this did vary across the region. Does anyone live in an area where there has been no increase so that we can appreciate the benefits we have gained from our increase?
JILL BURROWS, Hedge End.
