I READ the many letters on EU membership your readers shared.

This union relies on four-fifths of the richer nations, including the UK, contributing millions of £s (€) while the poorer, perhaps emerging members take money out, presumably, until they become contributors themselves?

In the meantime, incredibly, new poor, not rich members are allowed in to drink from the same diminishing pool.

This seems very charitable towards our neighbours, but charity begins at home.

Further EU ideas to merge fiscally are also doomed. We are Europe, no doubt, but we are all very different cultures; one size, one solution, will not fit all.

So, remain a member, yes, but retain governance of key controls and ask when the other members plan to start putting money back in the pot!

Does anyone know of such a club I could join, as I need a new car.
