LAST night I had a dream.
The Tories had lost the 2001 general election, so they promised a referendum on EU withdrawal. This won them massive anti-EU support and a landslide victory in the 2005 general election. Conor Burns became Eastleigh's MP. The referendum was held in 2006 and we left the EU in 2008.
Free from destructive EU directives and crushing £52 billion EU annual costs, we quickly rebuilt British industry, jobs, pensions, hospitals, schools, transport, armed forces, and police.
Mass EU immigration, unemployment, and house building were stopped. Council tax, income tax and debt fell.
No more EU identity card or arrogant politicians who thought they owned us! Instead, real elections and changing governments!
But then I woke and my nightmare began. Thanks to Tory treason, another day in EU annexed Britain under this same unchangeable EU government I have suffered for 33 years.
P W STEWART, Bishopstoke.
Yours, Peter Stewart (Conservative defector to UKIP, forced out by Tory support for EU fascism)
