I WOULD like to thank all the shoppers at Hedge End Retail Park who kindly donated to the British Red Cross Society Fire and Emergency Support Service on Tuesday, December 19. The total raised was £306.09. The generosity of shoppers was very pleasing as due to being required at a local incident our arrival to collect was delayed.
The service is manned by volunteers 24/7, 365 days of the year, based at Hightown Fire Station to deploy to wherever the service is required in Hampshire.
Anyone interested in becoming a volunteer for Hampshire please contact me.
Also many thanks to the five members of the volunteer team who gave their time to assist me in the collection.
