WHY no bus from Southampton to Lepe Beach and Bournemouth?
Both used to be in Hampshire till the Conservative readjustment.
Both are lovely to visit making a change from the misery of urban and hourly travel into Southampton during the rush hour, soon to be even more cluttered by thousands of students taking up residence.
What was the dual carriageway to Ringwood built for? There are no colleges or hospitals en route to force council enterprise there, or help outdoor workers get to their job.
No wonder Ringwood has gone downhill for lack of visitors from Southampton. One bus a week would help or two and more in the summer.
RUTH A. OLDEN, Hythe.
Editor's note: National Express run over a dozen services to Bournemouth from Southampton each day and Bluestar run buses between Southampton and Blackfield and Langley, which are near to Lepe Beach.
