Rowenna Davis
HAVING read Don Thomas’s letter (Daily Echo, April 19) concerning the selection of Rowenna Davis as the Labour candidate for Southampton Itchen, there were certainly four outstanding candidates (all nominated by various wards within the constituency) to choose from.
We had the opportunity to listen to each candidate over several months culminating in a selection meeting last July when Labour members made their choice with a vote in a secret ballot. Rowenna Davis won the ballot and will make an excellent candidate for the Southampton Itchen constituency.
