I’M all for encouraging road users to reduce the amount of rubbish left on motorways and Aroads.
Travelling along the A31 and A35 I’ve noticed it is littered with plastic bags, bottles and much more, probably thrown out of car windows, as there are pull-ins along this stretch.
It is not a good sight for visitors to this country to see, first impressions meant a lot. The cruise ships that dock in Southampton see our city strewn with rubbish, sometimes bins only a short distance away.
I can’t believe people drop the litter taking no pride in their city – it is noticeable if you go abroad where it is clean and tidy.
There is no problem disposing of you rubbish by taking it home.
Bag in and bin it and take pride in your country.
