I WAS horrified to read of the cutbacks to the fire brigade.
They must find the money somewhere else. The firemen are proud and efficient and the public depend on them to keep us safe.
Whatever the authorities say, the staff will be affected and the efficiency of crews will be affected.
Should there be an incident or two, how would they cope?
If an industrial estate, homes, even lives, particularly firemen, are lost, apart from anything else the money saved will be lost on insurance etc.
