ALL councils in the country should use brownfield sites first.
Up in Yorkshire, a lot of people are building on brownfield, including old factories and industrial sites that have not been used for 30 years.
Wakefield is using brownfield sites where buildings have been knocked down. Leeds has turned old buildings and mills into colleges and flats.
When Kirklees Council was planning to build a lot of housing on greenfield, the scheme went to a planning minister and was thrown out.
