I WOULD like to make a statement on “Rebecca’s” comments (“Who needs men?” Your Lifestyle, Daily Echo, April 22).
She said: “I chose to be a single parent.” This may give Rebecca a lot of satisfaction but what about the child?
This child will have to grow up without a father, what will it do when people ask about its father, tell the truth, or make something up?
Rebecca states that it is every woman’s right to have a child. This is not true. No man or woman has the divine right to have children. This is the law of nature. We as humans are the only species on the earth that make this possible. This is one of our problems, maybe our biggest, over- population.
So all the artificial insemination only adds to the problem. Also, I had to smile at Rebecca’s statement “who needs men?” Where does Rebecca think the sperm comes from?
