Many people have supported us wherever we go to raise funds for Animals Asia Foundation (AAF), a British charity helping the boon bears in the bile farms in China and Vietnam.
I am asking you for your help. A stateowned bear bile farm in China has been closed by the Chinese themselves and AAF are to stage the biggest bear rescue ever undertaken.
Thirty of the sickest bears will be taken by a multiple eight-truck convoy back to their bear sanctuary in Chengdu and then they are going to turn the bear bile farm into a bear sanctuary and train the people to look after and take care of the bears.
So something hideous will be turned into something wonderful.
The Southampton and Portsmouth support group have pledged to raise £12,000 and name a rescued bear.
Please help us to raise this money.
Any donations, no amount too small, please send to: Animals Asia Foundation, 3 Ashleigh Meadows, Tregondale Farm, Menheniot, Cornwall, PL14 3RG. Please make clear donation is to the Southampton and Portsmouth Naming a Bear. Thank you.
LINDA BURR, Hedge End.
