How do we know what we’re eating?
TELEVISION news reports that trading standards found half of kebabs contain meat other than lamb. Chicken and beef were found instead. HM Government’s Food Standards Agency does no testing.
It was Irish and Swiss laboratories that alerted us about horse meat in burgers and lasagne, plus, you only identify different meat DNA one at a time. It’s very costly. Maybe ignorance is bliss?
