P BILLOWS (Letters, December 29) urges the need for an English parliament. I would go one step further and say we need English people to be members of an English parliament. We are not allowed to stand in Scotland's Parliament, yet the Scottish can stand in England.

We have a current Prime Minister who is Scottish and another Scotsman in waiting to succeed him, Heaven forebid.

I do not have anything against the Scots. I have many friends who are Scottish but, let's keep England English.
