SINCE the pictures of the Red Movement were first published, I have been puzzling as to where I have seen this mixture of shapes and colours before and the answer suddenly came to me this morning and it certainly wasn't of a picture or a duvet.
It was a blouse!
Some years ago, my hairdresser in Shirley, Southampton, kitted her staff out with blouses almost identical in pattern and colours to the so called Red Movement. They didn't have any red in them either.
These blouses were available in one of the local shops and I was delighted to be able to buy one, which when worn, was greatly admired by my friends.
Sadly I no longer have it, so cannot prove it existed.
Between the picture of blouse material and the detested laser beams, it all makes for very sad reading.
There is already so much in the city which could give it the wow factor, if the powers that be would make more of and stop wasting money on rubbish which is making them a laughing stock.
