SO buses through Millbrook, Southampton, will operate every six minutes, and more buses will travel through Weston, route 11.
There are areas so neglected by bus companies that need much improvement. The route 8 service is now half-hourly, and no First buses on Sundays and bank holidays. What about church-goers? At least put on a service during the Sunday morning.
Often, buses due at half past the hour through Pear Tree Avenue are missed out and when one eventually arrives it is difficult to find an empty seat.
I regularly visited relatives in Sandpiper Road, but was cut off at bank holidays and Sundays due to no buses on that route.
No wonder we are becoming a godless society when transport is not available for church visits – and what of Chessil Avenue, a difficult climb for elderly people?
