Use rescue centres instead of breeders
AT my age, I can’t bear to be haunted by TV programmes showing cruelty to children or animals, so I didn’t watch The Truth Behind The Bargain Dog Trade.
But reviews said it would show ‘inhumane breeding conditions’, so the message as always is to adopt pets from rescue centres. They know the character of each!
In Southampton, we have Cat & Kitten Rescue, St Francis Animal Welfare, Second Chance, the RSPCA, etc, so please go to them first (telephone first)!
