SHOULD Scotland get independence, will Royal Mail continue to deliver and collect their post?

Will railways crossing the border have to operate two different businesses?

Presumably, Scottish & Southern Energy will have to be two separate companies. Will Scotland decide to have a different time/clock to the rest of the UK? Every service, and goods leaving Scotland will be treated as an export, and viceversa for all that enters, including new cars.

Newspapers published in England. Animal feed for farmers.

Would Scotland have a different rate of VAT?

Anyone from Scotland moving into England, Wales or Northern Ireland will be treated as an immigrant. Not even as one from the EU.

Motorway maintenance will stop at the border and then operate under different management, no longer backed up from the UK central Government. Grants, rebates and so on which the UK receivs from the EU will not go to Scotland. The list is almost endless. All will have a serious effect on people throughout Scotland.

Business institutions and large companies would simply relocate. They would not want to be in a tiny nation of a mere 5.5 million citizens.

Sadly, politicians did not take this issue seriously or, possibly with respect, perhaps the media spend too much time finding fault rather than actually making the points.

The media have a hatred of politicians, and no matter what any of them have to say, in the minds of the press and television it will be wrong. Then the general public come to that conclusion ‘they are all as bad, as each other’.

And then can not be bothered to go out and vote.

It is the same with our membership of the European Union. The argument to stay in, as one of the earlier founders, is not given enough space. It is more fun to stir it up and suggest that somehow UKIP are our saviours.
