RE. BLOCKADE front page article (Daily Echo, September 30).

Residents close to Fairisle School want a solution to congested roads at school starting and finishing times.

Parking permits to apply between 8.30am and 9.30am and from 3pm to 4pm would solve the problem.

Don Thomas and Keith Morrell want more parking on the Oaklands site.

Take it from me, parents would still continue to park as close to the school as possible.

So – two birds killed with one lot of signs: 1. No parking congestion 2. The council will only need to put up a few signs.
