IN the earlier part of this month I was invited to the local Salvation Army meeting.
On the morning of the meeting which was on a Sunday, I was greeted by a warm smile and heart-warming welcome. I noticed straight away the joy and happiness that was around me. The children when singing had happiness written all over them. The congregation of mixed races and ages mingled and made me feel welcome. This was like a medicine to me, a shot of adrenalin in the arm. What a wonderful hour of joy and happiness and it was enjoyed by one and all. How refreshing to see old and young get on together.
After the tea and biscuits no one was in a hurry to leave. It brought me back to what life is all about.
I will continue to attend these meetings, they are full of warmth and happiness. God bless them all.
