RE: CM Christianson’s Union Jack letter.

The Union Jack cannot be upside down if it is not attached to a flagpole, unlike some other nations’ flags, say the USA, Holland or Australia, to name but a few.

The Union Jack must be flown with the wide white section of the upper quadrant of the St Andrew’s cross portion of the flag attached at or near to the top of the flagpole (this rule applies equally if the Union flag is flown at half mast).

One can readily see that there is no upside down, just back to front, as upside down is but a mirror image of down side up.
