CALIM A Nel (Letters, January 15) says that there is a need for English people to be members of an English parliament.

This parliament should be situated somewhere like Nottingham.

Wessex (Our Home) believes that Wessexers, too, should be members of a Wessex parliament.

Gordon Brown is a Scotsman, but Tony Blair is no more a Scotsman than is Mr Cameron. There can be no objection to Mr Brown being Prime Minister as long as the UK remains one.

Wessex (OH), unlike the Conservatives, and the SNP, believes in keeping the United Kingdom united.
