We need the walk-in centre
THE Daily Echo reports that one of my GPs, Dr Steve Townsend, is in favour of the plans to shut Bitterne Walk-In Centre (Daily Echo, October 15) for six months.
It’s almost impossible to get an appointment at his surgery in Bitterne Park. So I find it incredible that they are pushing for the closure of the walkin centre that is just up the road.
If enough people sign Rowenna Davis’ petition, then hopefully Dr Townsend and the Southampton Clinical Commissioning Group bureaucracy will think again.
